For Those Who Love Natural Remedies, Skin Care Is Exactly The Same by

Natural remedies for so many things are now becoming so popular. So many people are now beginning to realize that natural remedies and natural products can be safer than the mainstream alternative, and work well. Including skin care products.

So many more natural therapists now find it hard to keep up with business, so popular are more natural remedies becoming. Some 50 or so years ago we went to the doctor because there was no option, now there is.

That doesn’t mean, however, that all these natural remedies work well, or at all. There are many examples of charlatans pimping so called natural cures for all sorts of things that turn out often not to be a cure at all, and sometimes not even quite so natural.

Skin care is just the same. Although it’s possible to find many brands of natural skincare products many aren’t quite as “natural” as you would expect and some don’t work very well.

But notwithstanding there are good reasons why people are turning to natural skin care products in droves. It’s simple. Many big name skin care products contain ingredients that are dangerous to your health. There’s many examples. Some of these ingredients are bad for your health, and some are even bad for your skin.

So here’s an example. Many mainstream skin care products contain petrochemical ingredients. Mineral oil is an example, and if used in skin care products can be bad for your skin, clogging pores and leading to acne for some.

And it’s even possible to find skincare products with ingredients that are known to cause cancer.

So there’s good reasons to look for natural remedies for skin care. Products that contain naturally occurring ingredients that are known to be safe to use.

So whilst there are many skin care product labeled natural there are also some that aren’t quite so natural. The FDA isn’t required to test any skin care products, either to see if the ingredients are natural, or safe. So there are natural skin care products around that use potentially harmful ingredients.

Recently some products labeled “organic” were found with 1,4 Dioxane in them, a known carcinogen.

So you have to be careful, not all skin care products labeled as natural are quite as natural or as safe as you would like.

Just last week I wrote an article on my site about the process to go through finding good natural skin care products, and how to find out how safe they are.

So if natural remedies interest you and so you really want to buy only natural skin care products then get to my website and read that article, written for people like you.

And I also tell you about who I believe makes the safest and best natural skin care products in the world, and why.

Because not all natural skin care products are created equal.

Are Makeup and Miracle Creams the Answer to a Younger Look

Are Makeup and Miracle Creams the Answer to a Younger Look by Jason Creation

For most of history, women have used makeup to cover any imperfections and make themselves look more attractive, so looks have always been important. In today’s world, however, looks seem more important than ever. It used to be the case that when men and women grew older they were stuck with the lines, wrinkles and flabby skin that always seemed to appear after the age of fifty, sometime earlier.

Most people don’t like to think that they look old and this has spurred a huge growth in products such as miracle creams and other anti-aging products.

What has changed in recent years is that men as well as women use skin products and makeup products to try and hold back time, at least on the surface. We all spend a fortune trying to look younger and manufacturers bring out one product after the next and we open our purses to get the latest wonder product.

Not all makeup products do exactly what they say on the box, but most of them do make skin appear smoother and softer, which is one way of making skin look revitalized.

Most women and some men admit that they are not happy that their body and especially the skin on their face and neck is looking old and tired. Cosmetics alone cannot hide the effects of age, but with a good, anti-aging serum underneath, the face tightens temporarily and this has the effect of making a person look younger.

Yet another thing that women worry about is cellulite and, what many refer to as the orange peel look that seems to attack our upper arms and thighs as we get older. Nowadays there are not only miracle creams to make your face look more youthful, there are moisturizers and smoothing creams that are designed for the body, and especially those parts of the body that are showing signs of aging.

You only have to walk to your local drug store to see the vast array of anti-aging products that are now available. Those women who don’t have to worry too much about their budgets think nothing of spending hundreds of dollars on so-called miracle creams, while the rest of us are limited to what the high street cosmetic brands have to offer.

Strangely enough, tests often show that it’s not how much you pay for a makeup cream that matters, it is the ingredients that the cream contains. Some, cheaper products can make you look as good as a pot of cream costing $300.

Men and women use makeup and miracle creams to try and give themselves a more youthful appearance without resulting to injections or to surgery. In America particularly, the increasing number of women who pay for cosmetic surgery to hold back the years, has made a lot of plastic surgeons very rich.

Whatever course of action people take to rejuvenate the skin on their face and body, the fact is that anti-aging products are big business. There seem to be new makeup products on the market everyday, from body moisturizers to smoothing eye gels; manufacturers are beginning to realize that there are huge profits to be made from products that are sold to help hold back the years.

Most miracle creams can make your skin look fresher and a bit smoother, but they do not make you look instantly younger. Some anti-aging makeup works on your skin overtime, so don’t expect the immediate results that you would get with Botox or cosmetic surgery.

Having said that, miracle creams are a lot cheaper and there is virtually no risk to using them as there are with surgical methods.

Blue Light Acne Treatment - A New Remedy?

Blue Light Acne Treatment - A New Remedy? by

Some experts claim that laser and light therapy is this century’s alternative to traditional treatments. These technologies have been successfully applied to treating acne and other skin diseases. Many acne sufferers who were disappointed with all other methods have found a solution for their problem in blue light acne treatment.

Benefits of Blue Light Acne Treatment

Blue light acne treatment focuses on eliminating P. acnes, the bacteria that causes to acne eruptions. This bacteria pumps out some molecules called porphyrins. When these molecules are exposed to blue light, they release free radicals that kill the bacteria.

Blue light acne treatment has several benefits in comparison to other therapies:

* It is a totally natural and has no side effects.
* It is safe to use daily and for all ages.
* Unlike other light therapies, it doesn’t contain UV light that can hurt your skin.
* It is painless and you can do it in your own home.

Research Data

Data from clinical trials on blue light therapy has revealed that is a promising acne treatment. Patients involved in the studies have received the blue light acne treatment in several session, each lasting about 15 minutes. Many of them, but not all, have registered significant improvement after the treatment, with approximately 55% clearance. Side effects were only mild and included short-term pigment changes, dryness and swelling of the treated area.

Taiwan: Thirty-one patients with facial acne on both sides have received blue light acne treatment only on one side, while the other has received no treatment at all. The therapy was given twice a week for four weeks. In the end, it was concluded that blue light acne treatment is effective unless the patient suffers from cystic acne, which often worsens when treated with blue light.

United States: Twenty-five patients suffering from inflammatory acne were treated with blue light therapy on one side (8 sessions in 4 weeks) and with clindamycin on the other (twice a day for 4 weeks). In the end, researchers compared the results for the two treatments. The side treated with clindamycin showed an approximately 22% improvement, while the one treated with blue light therapy showed around 40% improvement. However, after 8 weeks of no treatment, the clindamycin side had maintained the results better.

Israel: Three separate studies on 10, 13 and 25 patients suffering form inflammatory acne were conducted in order to measure the effects of blue light acne treatment. In all of the three studies, over 80% of all patients responded well to the treatment, showing between 59% and 67% improvement.

Japan: 30 patients suffering from mild to moderate acne received a blue light acne treatment twice a week for up to five weeks. For 80% of all patients, the lesions decreased by approximately 64%. The rest of them experienced negative or no effects.

Unfortunately, the number of individuals involved in these research studies is too small. Generally, clinical trials aimed to test new treatments enroll hundreds or even thousands of patients. Considering the small numbers involved in the blue light acne treatment studies, no statistically valid conclusion can be drawn. However, these studies do reveal that blue light therapy has positive effects on some individuals suffering from acne. It gives best results for inflammatory acne and may not be safe to use on patients with cystic acne lesions.

Do you remember the good old days when you are able to play robust games, climb trees, cycle long distances and enjoying them? Are you able to do these things with gusto these days? If not, why not? That is because your health and fitness is slowly and surely deteriorating as you age. We are putting on body fat faster because our metabolism is slowing down. From the age of about 25, our body starts to produce less and less growth hormones leading to deterioration of body tissues and the process to replace and repair tissue cells is being comprised more and more as we age. That is why we recover slower from diseases, muscles are getting smaller and weaker, bones are getting brittle and wrinkles start forming. In other words, we are slowly dying.

To counter these aging effects, we have got to keep ourselves fit and healthy. By improving our fitness and health levels, we are able to slow down the aging process. We protect muscle and bone loss by lifting weights. With cardio exercises, we strengthen our hearts and lungs and improve our immunity keeping deadly age related diseases and obesity at bay. We will regain some the energy and vitality of our youthful days making daily chores so much easier to handle. Best of all, exercises reduces stress, improve your posture and adds a healthy glow to your skin. And you know what? It is free.

So isn’t improving your health and fitness is the best antidote to the aging process? I know because I refuse to let age defy me. So with good healthy eating habits a regular dose of exercise, I am able to play competitive soccer with people half my age, enjoy mountain tracking and scuba diving now and then. That to me is a much more fulfilling and enjoyable life than having jars of anti aging pills and skincare creams sitting on my shelf and burning a gaping hole in my pocket.
