Introducing A New Wrinkle Treatment

Introducing a New Wrinkle Treatment by Caterina Christakos

As people age, they begin to become more sensitive to the wrinkles and lines that begin to appear on their skin. They may also notice that their skin becomes more dull in appearance, even appearing more rough than it formerly was, even with proper skin care on a daily basis. There are many new wrinkle treatments today that can help with the issue of dull and sagging skin as well as wrinkles from facial expressions or thin, dry skin.

Methods

One new wrinkle treatment is called thermage, which uses radio frequency energy to help to heat the collagen in the face. This helps to strengthen the collagen so that it becomes tightened and makes the skin appear smoother and younger again. This can be a great new wrinkle treatment for those who have just begun to experience laugh lines and some sagging of the skin rather than for those who have more advanced damage done.

Thermage does cause the skin to get red and possibly swell for the next few days to a week after the treatment. One thing with thermage as a new wrinkle treatment is that it does not produce results immediately after the skin is healed from the treatment. It usually takes at least a month and sometimes up to three months to see the effects of the thermage treatment. However, the treatment does seem to last longer than some of the other new wrinkle treatments on the market, at present seeming to last at least five years before needing any more treatment.

Another new wrinkle treatment is laser treatment which serves to eliminate the dead skin cells and blemishes from acne scarring and other dynamic wrinkles. This is one of the latest wrinkle treatments on the market, with several different lasers being used to produce these results. One laser, the N-Lite, works in somewhat the same way as thermage in that it heats up the collagen in the skin so that is becomes more firm again and makes the skin seem smoother and healthier.

The CO2 and Erbium lasers serve to vaporize the skin cells so that the skin seems smoother and the new cells are stimulated for more collagen production. One problem with laser treatment as a new wrinkle treatment is that it does take some recovery time, sometimes up to two weeks before the oozing and pain stops and the face looks normal again. In addition, it can take more than one treatment depending on the damage to the skin, especially with deep wrinkles or scars.

Who could suffer from acnes?- Dont feel uneasy about your acne problem by Kamran Chy

If the follicle opening on your skin is completely closed by dirt and grease, you could develop a very mean case of acne. If this is how the disease came upon you, you can cure it by easily cleaning up that portion of your skin and doing it all the time. However, there are people who suffer acne simply because they inherited it from their parents or because of an internal situation. In such people, the condition may require a little extra effort than just cleansing.

Have you ever lived in with a woman suffering from acne? Wait and watch until you see her come out of the bathroom, she would spend perhaps an hour applying makeup before stepping out. This does not count the lotion or whatever that she had on her face when she walked in. that one was applied last night! But do you blame her? She’s trying to solve her acne problem.

Know your disease. It is unfortunate that a lot of people think that what you don’t know cannot hurt you, but that kind of thinking is so yesterday. Today, what you do not know about a disease that plagues you goes all the way in handling it. Acne, for one, has a lot of types and a lot of ways by which people attempt to cure it. If you are better informed on the disease, you can address it with understanding.

It seems kind of awkward referring to acne as a disease, but what else can it be? It is not welcome, it is a nuisance that makes you look horrible, it is an ailment, and it is unwelcome. If that does not qualify it as a disease, I don’t know what else does. Do you? Nonetheless, what should occupy your mind most is finding a solution for acne.

Stretch Mark Treatments - Which Ones Are The Best?

Stretch Mark Treatments - Which Ones Are the Best? by Kelly Purden

A lot of women are self conscious of their body as is. However, as they age, stretch marks may appear. The appearance of stretch marks may arrive as early as 14. They occur when you have experienced extreme weight gain. This may happen while they are pregnant, working out or bodybuilding, or even puberty.

Think of your skin as elastic. It can only be stretched so far, and once that limit is reached, the skin tears and can not stretch anymore. When the bottom layer of skin tears and the layer on top are unmoved the appearance of stretch marks occurs.

After the stretch marks have been on the skin for a while, they change color from pink to white. Once the scars appear, they are permanent and difficult and expensive to get rid of.

By using home made remedies, lotions and moisturizers, you may lessen the look of the marks. However, these methods do not completely get rid of the markings. They may even fade with time; however, the only way to get rid of them completely is surgery and medical procedures.

But it may be your only solution to permanently get rid of the stretch marks. The cost varies depending on which procedure you use and the severity of the stretch marks that you want removed. Natural remedies and creams are usually the cheapest but they are the least effective.

One of the most popular medical procedures is Micro-dermabrasion. This is a cosmetic procedure, which means it is not covered by insurance. For this procedure, they remove the top layer of skin by chemicals to lessen or get rid of the stretch marks all together.

Endermologie is used for many things including, but not limited to, getting rid of stretch marks, cellulite and acne. A machine massages the skin to increase the circulation to the skin and get rid of the toxins that are held in the pores.

There are also several different types of laser treatments. They help eliminate the marks and it helps to heal your skin. Another positive with chemical peels or lasers is they leave no scarring.

If you have stretch marks in your abdominal area, the only way to get rid of them is with a tummy tuck. They take some of the skin below the belly button and remove it to lessen or even get rid of the marks completely.

Talk to your local dermatologist for more information about the surgeries and find out which one is best for you.

Non-surgical Anti-aging Treatments At Day Spas

Filed under: Anti Aging — @ 5:39 am

Non-Surgical Anti-Aging Treatments at Day Spas by Abigail Aaronson

Non-surgical anti-aging treatments may sound like something out of a science fiction magazine, but they are here, and they work. Many day spas offer a variety of these kinds of treatments that are proven to show results. You don’t need to spend a fortune, undergo the knife, or put yourself at risk for a number of potential complications to enjoy the benefits of these anti-ageing procedures.

Whether you want to help reduce fine lines, smooth out your complexion, or just get younger, more radiant skin, here are some of the most popular non-surgical anti-aging treatments available on a typical day spa menu.

Microdermabrasion

You may have heard about this treatment many times, and that’s because it works. A trained aesthetician cleanses the face and then using a wand with a gently rotating, abrasive disc scrubs away at the topmost layer of skin. The dead, blemished cells are sloughed away, allowing the fresh, new skin to rise to the surface.

With continued treatments over an extended period of time, microdermabrasion can even reach blemishes that lie deeper within the skin, such as sun damage, age spots, and acne scars. This treatment offers softer, smother skin and a brighter completion.

Chemical Peels

There are many different types of chemical peels available that range from mild to treat just the surface to intense that reach deep into the skin to treat scars, sun damage, and wrinkles. The chemicals help strip away the dead skin and promotes growth of new, refreshed cells. For deep treatments, you may require a few weeks of recovery; however, the light and medium peels have little downtime and any residual redness can be camouflaged by makeup.

Fat Transfer

Want the benefits of a non-surgical anti-ageing treatment but don’t want to use artificial substances such as Botox and facial filler? Many day spas offer fat transfer procedures.

A small portion of fat is taken from a concealable area such as your inner or outer thigh and is then transferred to another part of your body or face to fill out hollow areas or deep furrows. It is commonly used under the eyes, in the cheek area, on the lips, on the jaw line and between the brows. You can naturally plump and rejuvenate your face with your own, natural fat.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

There are many different kinds of lasers and treatments which can perform a wide variety of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. Most are targeted to treat such problems as spider veins, fine lines, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and sun damage. Bright light breaks up the skin cells to allow new growth. The results of laser treatment can last for many years.

Traditional Facials

There are many new facial products that are made with groundbreaking technology and ingredients. These products can help diminish the appearance of age spots and fine lines while smoothing out the complexion’s tone and texture.

Many can even help prevent the onslaught of wrinkles and other ageing problems. A qualified aesthetician can help you choose from a range of products to find the right treatment for your specific problem.

The Salient Points Of Acne Treatment

The Salient Points of Acne Treatment by Julia Smythe

These days, all Acne cases can be resolved. The key to getting rid of acne lesions and how to prevent new ones from forming, lies in knowing that:

1.Resolution takes time
2.What works effectively for some , may not work for others
3.Dermatologist help is recommended for best results

Resolution always takes time. The treatment of Acne takes time and any quick remedy or promise is unfounded. On an average, 6 to 8 weeks are needed to get the initial results and even longer to see lasting effects of the treatment. However, once Acne gets cleared, the treatment should not stop, you should definitely continue your treatment to stop recurrence. If Acne does not heel after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment, it is best to seek the advice of your dermatologist and adjust your treatment plan. The best thing you can do on an ongoing basis is maintain your general skincare routine. Keeping your skin free of bacteria goes a long way toward preventing acne breakouts.

What works for one person may not work for another. What is a proper treatment for one person may not be the same for another. Actually, many factors affect resolution including; causes of the acne, a person’s skin type , and the type of acne lesion present. As the treatment required varies quite a lot depending on the type of Acne that you have it is always a good idea to seek medical advice.

Dermatologist’s help is ideal. With so many factors influencing the progress of treatment and multiple treatment options available, a Dermatologist must be involved in devising the treatment plan. He/She will (obviously before prescribing any treatment) consider various factors including severity of acne, types of lesion present , co-existing conditions , as well as the patient’s age, type of skin, motivation and lifestyle of the patient.

A Dermatologist will gather all the information mentioned above and develop a treatment plan individualized for your personal circumstances. They may decide on one treatment or medication or even offer you a blend of several. This will then be reviewed going forward at regular intervals. The dermatologist will want to ensure that the treatment is still working in the best possible way and achieving results over time. It is important to note that no ‘over the counter’ medication should not be consumed without the advice or guidance of your medical practitioner. Acne responds to early treatment- so don’t delay in seeking advice.
